Acton Beauchamp is 4 miles from Bromyard. It was formerly the estate of the Beauchamps and is a traditional hop growing area. Set alone on a knoll above a valley, St. Giles is a beautiful 19th century country church with a mediaeval west tower - last Georgian church in Herefordshire. The south doorway of the tower has a section of an Anglo-Saxon cross-shaft dating from about the 9th century and the font dates from about the 15th century.
