Aymestrey is 7 miles north-west of Leominster and straddles the Watling Street Roman road.  There are plenty of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Hergest Croft Gardens and Croft Castle within a short drive. Fishing and canoeing are available on the River Lugg. For walkers, the Mortimer Trail and Offa’s Dyke Path are close by. There is 14th century church and a pub with restaurant and a selection of holiday cottages, luxury lodges, barn conversions, cottages and large houses in and around the village.
