self catering holiday accommodation in the jewel of the downs

Known as the jewel of the Downs, Bromyard is a traditional Herefordshire Market Town with great character and charm. It is situated in some of the most scenic countryside in Europe and was awarded a Gold in the Heart of England in Bloom Awards 2010. Herefordshire has been growing hops since at least the 15th century and Bromyard has always been at the centre of what is the largest hop production area in England. Bromyard Downs covers 262 acres of open common grazing land, overlooking Bromyard and with spectacular views across Herefordshire to the distant mountains of Wales. On a rainy day, Bromyard Time Machine Museum of Trains, Boats & TV Memories is well worth a visit. There are 20 golf courses in the area and a selection of self catering accommodation in and around the town, including holiday cottages, farm cottages, oast houses and spacious holiday homes.
