Hoarwithy is 7 miles from Ross on Wye and is situated on the banks of the River Wye. Access over the river is via an old (and no longer operating) toll bridge, with an oddly shaped toll-house. The Church of St Catherine's unusual in that it is built in Italian Romanesque style and has a detached campanile. There is a pub in the village, with restaurant.
