Kington

self catering holiday accommodation in the marches

The small town of Kington, known as the “centre for walking”, is situated near the Welsh Borders in the area known as The Marches. The area is renowned for its lovely scenery and for its excellent walking in the surrounding rolling hills. This quiet, pleasant town has a number of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and a variety of tourist attractions close by including Eastnor Castle, Kingswood Small Breed Farm Park and Owl Centre, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Mortimer Trail and the Offa's Dyke Path, over Bradnor Hill which boasts England’s highest golf course, and Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and, more recently, Mike Oldfield.
