| The
small rural village of Kinnersley is
8 miles south-east of Kington, surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire
countryside, yet close to the Welsh Border in an area known as The
Marches. The village has a pub serving good food and is home to the
magnificent Kinnersley Castle, originally Norman but today seen as a
remodelled Elizabethan Manor House, with 8 acres of lovely grounds.
Close by is the beautiful Golden Valley, flanked by the Black Mountains
to the west, and with Offa's Dyke, Radnor Forest and the Wye Valley,
this whole area provides excellent scenic walking, cycling and bird
watching. |
