Pandy is 6 miles south-west of Pontrilas and is spread out from the Pandy watermill at Allt-yr-Ynys to the north to the edge of the village of Lanfihangel Crucorney to the south. The name Pandy derives, in Welsh, from a fulling mill. There are a number of abbeys and monasteries in the area, including: Abbey Dore, Tintern Abbey and Llanthony Priory. There are two village pubs offering food.
