Ross-on-Wye

self catering holiday accommodation in ross-on-wye

Ross-on-Wye is a small market town perched imposingly above the horseshoe bend of the River Wye and on the northern edge of the Forest of Dean. Weekly markets are still held beneath the arches of the 17th century Market House in the centre of the town. The 13th century church of St Mary's is a prominent landmark and the spire is visible from all approaches to the town. Ross is a good location for visiting the Wye Valley, Symonds Yat, the Malverns, Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, the Forest of Dean and the cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcestor and Gloucester.
