is 8 miles from Ross on Wye and 4 miles from Monmouth, close to the
border with Monmouthsire and Wales. It is ideally situated close to the
beautiful Wye Valley and the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean,
England's largest oak forest, with numerous trails that can be explored
on foot, bicycle
or horseback. Caving, abseiling and a high wire rope course are on
offer plus fishing, golf, kayaking and
canoeing. The area
is rich in archaelogical sites, including Pembridge Castle contructed
by Ralph de Pembridge in 1135. |
